Binaries

All binaries can be found in the OSOR Forge File Release System

Debian-Package

A Debian-Package is available for download which you can install with dpkg -i. This will install the WollMux component system-wide in OpenOffice.org and adds an executable /usr/bin/wollmuxbar that launches the WollMux toolbar. In order to use the WollMux, you still have to set up a WollMux configuration (see below).

Manual installation

For a manual binary installation, terminate all running OpenOffice.org processes (including the quickstarter), then install the following files:

WollMux.uno.pkg
unopkg add --shared WollMux.uno.pkg
This will result in a system-wide installation and usually requires administrator privileges.
For a single-user installation, launch OpenOffice.org, go to the menu Tools/Extension Manager and use Add to install the extension.
WollMuxBar.jar
Copy this file anywhere you want (e.g. to /usr/share/wollmux/)
wollmuxbar
This is a simple Unix shell script to launch WollMuxBar.jar. It assumes that the file is located in /usr/share/wollmux/.
wollmuxbar.bat
This is a Windows batch file for launching WollMuxBar.jar. Before you can use it, you need to replace <Path to> with the directory of the file WollMuxBar.jar and C:\Programme\Java\<Java Version> with the path to your Java installation.

Configuration

Important!
In order to test the WollMux you need a WollMux configuration. An example configuration is available in the OSOR Forge File Release System. You need only one of the following files. They are identical except for the filename encoding and the fact that the Linux version uses symlinks, whereas the Windows version contains duplicate files.
wollmux-config-utf8-<version>.tar.gz
Configuration for Linux systems with file names in UTF-8 encoding. Extract this archive in $HOME and you will get a directory .wollmux/.
wollmux-config-iso8859-1-<version>.zip
Configuration for Windows systems with file names in ISO8859-1 encoding. Extract this archive in the proper Windows directory. Unfortunately this directory varies with language and Windows version. On a German Windows 2000 system it is C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\<UserID>. To determine this directory, just launch the WollMuxBar.jar or OpenOffice.org after installing the WollMux component, then search your C:\ drive for a directory named .wollmux auto-created by WollMux. Delete this directory and extract the zip file in the directory that contained .wollmux.
